About The Position

Manages the operational and hospitality activities of the department. Plan and develop systems and processes to improve the patient satisfaction, safety and efficiency of the department. Responsible for hiring, training, supervising and coaching employees in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Complies with regulatory standards. The Manager is a full-time position responsible for the daily operational and improvement activities of the nutrition services on Essentia Health campus. The manager is responsible to assure the food and dietetic services are organized, directed and staffed in a manner to ensure the nutritional needs of the patients/residents are met in accordance with the practitioner’s orders and acceptable standards of practice. The manager plans and develops systems and processes to improve quality, service, safety and efficiency of the department and assures compliance with regulatory requirements. This position assists in setting short-term and long-term goals and establishes priorities based on department and Essentia Health objectives. The Manager will test and make recommendations on products, system and procedure changes and methods to improve satisfaction and efficiency. Contact with patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly, may occur while performing job responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 3 years of food service or environmental service experience with demonstrated leadership ability, including project management and process improvement
  • MN Certified Food Manager within 90 days of hire
  • Registered Dietician by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Current Dietician licensure in the state(s) of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Has completed at least 900 hours of supervised dietetics practice under the supervision of a registered dietician or nutrition professional
