About The Position

The Nutrition Services Associate Deli supports patient and visitor dining at Corewell Health’s Butterworth Hospital. The role prepares made-to-order deli items and supports food service operations while maintaining food safety, sanitation, inventory, and customer-service standards. Team members may also cross-train across service stations, including cashiering and merchandising. No experience is required; training and support are provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present made-to-order deli sandwiches and wraps for visitors, patients, and team members.
• Portion, package, label, and date products according to food safety and organizational standards.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety by using appropriate PPE, cleaning surfaces, rotating utensils, and managing sanitizer solutions.
• Monitor and document temperature logs and take corrective action when necessary.
• Stock, replenish, and manage inventory in the deli area.
• Multitask and cross-train across service stations, including cashiering and merchandising.
• Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, patients, and customers to support a positive dining experience.
• Provide compassionate, empathetic, customer-focused service and maintain high standards for food presentation.
