About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in the nutrition service kitchen, performing a variety of duties related to meal service, food preparation, cleaning, and customer service. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, handle money, and operate a computer. Compliance with federal, state, and department guidelines is mandatory, and all required training must be completed within the first 30 days of employment. The expected working hours are between 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with shifts no shorter than 4 hours.

Requirements

Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to twist, bend, lift, and stand for extended periods of time on hard floors
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and parents
Ability to operate a computer and handle money (receive, give correct change, and balance cash drawer)
Willingness to comply with federal, state, and department guidelines
Completion of current safety and sanitation certification, civil rights training, and safe schools training within the first 30 days of employment
