About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in the nutrition service kitchen, performing a variety of duties related to meal service, food preparation, cleaning, and customer service. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, handle money, and operate a computer. Compliance with federal, state, and department guidelines is mandatory, and all required training must be completed within the first 30 days of employment. The expected working hours are between 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with shifts no shorter than 4 hours.

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to twist, bend, lift, and stand for extended periods of time on hard floors
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to operate a computer and handle money (receive, give correct change, and balance cash drawer)
  • Willingness to comply with federal, state, and department guidelines
  • Completion of current safety and sanitation certification, civil rights training, and safe schools training within the first 30 days of employment
