About The Position

This role involves assisting in a nutrition service kitchen, with daily duties including meal service, dishwashing, cleaning, production record keeping, food preparation, cashiering, and customer service. The position requires adherence to federal, state, and department guidelines, and all necessary training must be completed within the first 30 days of employment. The expected working hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The school district is committed to equal opportunity and non-discrimination in employment and its programs.

Requirements

  • Must be able to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, lift and stand for extended periods of time on hard floors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and parents.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and handle money (receive, give correct change and balance cash drawer).
  • Must be willing to comply with federal, state, and department guidelines.
  • Current safety and sanitation certification, civil rights training, and safe schools training must be completed within the first 30 days of employment.
