About The Position

The Nutrition & Food Service Assistant provides quality customer meals through snack and meal preparation and assembly, service, and cleanup. The position supports the general operation of dish room and serving areas, food preparation and replenishment, cafeteria inventory, catering functions, and departmental cleaning. The role is part-time, 12 hours per week, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holiday involvement required. A valid driver’s license and personal automobile liability insurance are required.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Must carry personal automobile liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods and obtain, inventory, serve, and replenish hot and cold foods.
• Record temperatures of hot foods, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Assist with collecting and maintaining records required by the Quality Assurance Department, OSHA guidelines, or law.
• Clean and store cafeteria items, including dishes, flatware, utensils, and pans.
• Assist with catering functions, including assembly, setup, delivery, and retrieval of necessary items.
• Manage cafeteria inventory, including restocking, pricing, labeling, and vending machines.
• Complete the assigned daily cleaning schedule for work areas, equipment, and storage areas according to departmental standards.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
