About The Position

The Nutrition Care Associate III is responsible for patient food service on assigned units. Duties include assisting with menu selections and corrections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pickup, responding to special requests and needs, delivering food between meals, and opening or closing the kitchen as needed. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, food-service safety, and effective use of hospital computer systems for patient-care records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Health care experience involving food services or two years of service-industry experience preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete simple computational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively operate the hospital's admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) system and other computer-based systems used to manage patient-care records.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Ability to lead by example.
• Must have had zero corrective action during the previous 12 months.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Health care experience involving food services or two years of service-industry experience.
• Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets.
