About The Position

The Nutrition Services Aide aids in delivering Nutrition Services. Duties may include preparing and serving food items, preparing tables and trays, washing tableware and cooking items, performing general cleaning tasks, and delivering soiled linen to the laundry department. The role is located at Skilled Nursing at The Carlyle at Stonebridge Park in Southlake, Texas, and is full-time.

Requirements

• Current state Food Handler Certificate.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

• Experience in food service and using food service equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sanitation and quality standards are met.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, tableware, and utensils as needed.
• Clean and sanitize assigned equipment and complete assigned logs.
• Prepare dining room tables and patient room trays with proper tableware, condiments, and tray tickets.
• Perform food preparation tasks and assist with portioning servings.
• Prepare and serve beverages for trayline and dining rooms.
• Perform cleaning tasks according to established schedules.
• Prepare and/or deliver nourishment and supplements identified with patient labels.
• Maintain tray tickets, making changes as directed or needed.
• Deliver soiled linens to the laundry department.
• Identify and correct safety hazards.
• Fill orders for between-meal nourishments as assigned.
• Wrap flatware in napkins as applicable.
• Clear and wipe dining tables and trayline after meals.
• Maintain daily care of dishwashing, pot/pan, lavatory, and hand sinks, worktables, and dish storage areas.
• Empty trash cans each shift and clean them as assigned.
• Sweep and/or mop floors.
• Review the Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and understand the employee's responsibility to enforce it.
• Attend in-services and understand and comply with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Help ensure patient and resident safety.
• Perform other assigned duties and tasks.
