About The Position

MetroSys is seeking a skilled Nutanix Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of Nutanix environments across client engagements. This role is focused on hands-on implementation and operational support within HCI platforms. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Nutanix technologies and is comfortable working in client-facing, fast-paced environments supporting both projects and operational needs.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, or systems engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Nutanix AOS and AHV
  • Hands-on experience with Prism management tools
  • Strong understanding of virtualization concepts
  • Strong understanding of storage and compute infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Experience troubleshooting HCI environments and enterprise systems
  • Ability to work across multiple clients and manage competing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Nutanix certification (NCA, NCP, etc.)
  • Experience migrating from VMware or Hyper-V to Nutanix AHV
  • Familiarity with backup and DR solutions
  • Exposure to automation or scripting (PowerShell, APIs)
  • Experience in managed services or consulting environments

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and support Nutanix HCI environments across multiple clients
  • Administer and maintain Nutanix AOS, AHV virtualization, Prism Element and Prism Central
  • Support infrastructure projects, including cluster deployments and expansions, migration of workloads to Nutanix, and system upgrades and lifecycle management
  • Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution across compute, storage, and virtualization layers
  • Assist with backup, replication, and disaster recovery configurations
  • Monitor system health and performance, ensuring optimal operation and availability
  • Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on design implementation and validation
  • Maintain accurate documentation, configurations, and runbooks
  • Support client requests, incidents, and service tickets
