About The Position

Mercy Hospital Perry is proud to support the next generation of nurses through our Win from Within program, a unique opportunity for financial support, professional growth, and a smoother transition into practice after graduation. Whether you're just beginning your nursing prerequisites or already enrolled in a nursing program, this initiative is designed to empower you from the classroom to the patient room. In partnership with Southeast Health College of Nursing and Health Sciences, this program offers up to $10,000/year in tuition support for prerequisites and the nursing program, covering tuition, books, registration, lab and technology fees, clinical scrubs, and more. It helps ensure a smoother transition to professional practice post-graduation and offers direct career pathway opportunities within Mercy Hospital Southeast. The role involves assisting in the individualized care of the patient to achieve their highest level of wellness, working cooperatively as part of a team, and performing designated clinical and non-clinical support tasks.

Requirements

• Enrolled at Southeast Health College of Nursing and Health Sciences in nursing prerequisites or active enrollment in nursing program
• Completion of this application and submission of a resume, letter of recommendation, and unofficial transcript (if applicable).
• Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks) in a Patient Care Associate, Patient Care Tech, Nurse Tech, or similar clinical role within the hospital
• Must sign a contract agreeing to work 1-3 years at a Mercy Hospital Southeast after graduation. (Commitment length depends on the amount of financial support received.)

• Assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patients highest level of wellness.
• Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the importance of group goals.
• Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.
