The Nursing Unit Secretary will serve as the central focus of communication for the Patient-Care Unit, coordinating clerical functions such as charting, admissions, and discharges. They will maintain organization within the Nurse's station to promote an orderly workflow, receive and organize interdepartmental communications, and schedule/coordinate special patient appointments. The role also involves answering call bells, assisting as appropriate, handling a high volume of phone calls, and welcoming/assisting visitors to the unit.
