The Rover in Nursing Support serves as a rapid response team member trained as a health unit coordinator (HUC), a transporter, and as an equipment technician in order to be assigned to assist in any capacity in Nursing Support. Daily assignments may include but are not limited to serving as a trained HUC in various units, acting as a trained transporter to access the Teletracking system during peak times, responding to Code Blues and Code Strokes, holding the Equipment Tech pager to respond to calls related to bed movement and equipment retrieval, holding supervisor pagers for urgent tasks, assisting with Safe Patient Handling Discharges, and potentially retrieving offsite labs from UMC clinics after hours and on weekends. This role requires flexibility and the ability to assist in multiple capacities as needed within Nursing Support Services.
