About The Position

Lake Prince Woods, a premier not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Suffolk, Virginia, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Healthcare Unit team. This role is part of the Baylor Weekend Program, offering a unique schedule where you work 32 hours but get paid for 40. As a Healthcare Aide, you will provide direct resident care and assist residents in achieving and maintaining their highest level of independence and well-being.

Requirements

• Current Virginia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Successful completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Must be at least 16 years of age in accordance with Department of Labor regulations.
• Compassion, reliability, and a commitment to exceptional resident care.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of three (3) months of experience performing basic nursing assistant duties preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Supporting residents in maintaining independence and quality of life.
• Observing, reporting, and documenting changes in resident condition.
• Following physician orders, care plans, and nursing instructions.
• Providing compassionate, resident-centered care in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Working collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team.
