About The Position

Kindred Hospital Las Vegas – Flamingo and Acute Rehabilitation Unit is a 78-bed hospital with 66 long-term acute care beds and a 12-room acute rehabilitation unit. The hospital provides extended recovery care and 24-hour clinical care seven days a week. The Nursing Supervisor supervises nursing staff, assesses patients’ needs, and provides nursing care. The role plans and organizes training for unit staff and participates in guidance and educational programs. It also coordinates nursing services, supports staff development, and ensures patient care and documentation are completed appropriately. The position is per diem and works days. The stated pay range is $42.00–$53.27 per hour. ScionHealth offers a benefits package to benefit-eligible employees.

Requirements

Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid state Registered Nurse license.
Valid BLS certification.
Two years of nursing experience in a hospital.
One to two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Supervisory skills and ability to evaluate job performance.
Ability to make decisions and accept responsibility for a work unit.
Time management skills and ability to organize priorities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
Good and regular attendance.
Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate designated nursing staff.
Assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
Participate in developing nursing protocols and procedures.
Provide continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
Assess patient needs and participate in providing nursing care.
Ensure services are carried out and documented appropriately.
Maintain patient health care records.
Maintain supply inventory records and order supplies and equipment as necessary.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
