About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor supervises nursing staff, assesses patient needs, and provides nursing care. The role plans and organizes training for unit staff and participates in guidance and educational programs. The supervisor hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates designated nursing staff; assigns duties; and coordinates nursing services. The position also participates in developing nursing protocols and procedures, supports continuing education and staff development, and helps ensure patient care is provided and documented appropriately. Additional duties include maintaining patient health care records and supply inventory records, ordering supplies and equipment as needed, and performing other related duties as assigned. The position is full time, nights, with an approximate travel requirement of 0%. Pay range is $30.89–$38.41 per hour.

Requirements

Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid state Registered Nurse license.
Valid BLS certification.
Two years of nursing experience in a hospital.
One to two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Supervisory skills and ability to evaluate job performance.
Ability to make decisions and accept responsibility for a work unit.
Time management skills and ability to organize priorities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
Good and regular attendance.
Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking ability.

Responsibilities

Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate designated nursing staff.
