About The Position

Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring a Director of Staff Development to direct educational programs for the nursing department at its 135-bed skilled nursing facility. The role may be filled by an LPN or RN and is scheduled for 32 hours per week. Weekly pay is $40–$50 per hour, depending on license and experience.

Requirements

• Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state.
• CPR certification.
• At least one year of nursing supervisor experience in a long-term care facility.
• Experience in supervision and the principles and practices of teaching.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in staff education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure general orientation is completed for all employees.
• Conduct job-specific orientation for nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Develop and implement educational programs based on identified needs to ensure personnel have the required knowledge and skills.
• Develop and distribute annual and monthly education calendars.
• Maintain a library of resource information and self-study programs for facility staff.
• Maintain staff development records accurately and in a timely manner.
