This is a hybrid role designed to support ambulatory clinics in the Floyd Area (Rome, GA) and Navient Area (Macon, GA), with some remote work components. The specialist will apply advanced knowledge of nursing and educational design principles to bridge identified gaps in knowledge, skills, and practice. This involves data collection, analysis of cost and return on investment, and transformation of processes. The role requires developing context-specific outcomes, incorporating learning theories, and promoting the generation and use of evidence to improve patient care and foster lifelong learning. The specialist will also assess learner characteristics, create effective learning environments, evaluate educational outcomes, and implement tailored teaching strategies. Additionally, they will advise on the design and development of educational materials and environments, exhibit systems thinking, develop interprofessional partnerships, and support the transition of nurses and healthcare team members across various stages of their careers. Mentorship of generalist NEPDs is also a component of this role.
