Nursing Manager (Registered Nurse)
About The Position
The Nursing Services Manager is responsible for the Wellness Coordination program and for supervising and managing nursing operations in an assigned area. The position develops and monitors medical policies and procedures to ensure they meet licensing requirements and that each individual receives quality, individualized health care management to support optimal health. The manager supervises, supports, and develops nursing staff; ensures required assessments, wellness plans, face-to-face visits, and documentation are completed accurately and on time; and monitors healthcare needs, clinical services, and care delivery across assigned programs. The role partners with area and program directors, nurses, and other team members on medical concerns, healthcare practices, and regulatory requirements. It also helps develop healthcare systems and nursing supports for new individuals and programs, ensuring nursing services and documentation meet licensing requirements, organizational standards, and person-centered care expectations. The position is onsite in Indianapolis, with approximately 50% travel throughout the Lafayette and Kokomo areas. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM EST, with on-call responsibilities as needed. Compensation is a fixed annual rate of $71,335.76 plus a $5,000 retention bonus.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Indiana Registered Nurse license.
- At least 1 year of experience leading, supervising, coaching, or developing nursing or healthcare staff.
- Strong ability to communicate clinical information clearly and maintain accurate healthcare documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between programs as needed.
- Successful completion of required background and compliance checks.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in ICF/IID, Medicaid waiver, group home, supported living, or community-based settings.
- Experience supervising nurses, LPNs, or other healthcare staff.
- Experience educating clinical and non-clinical staff on health-related needs, medication administration, and care procedures.
- Knowledge of assessments, care plans, medication management, MARs, and physician orders.
- Experience with electronic health records, audits, regulatory documentation, and quality improvement.
- Experience partnering with physicians, guardians, pharmacies, case managers, and program leadership.
- Experience providing clinical guidance during evenings, weekends, or urgent situations.
