About The Position

This role is for a Nursing Intern at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL, within the Float Staffing department. The schedule is Day Shift and PRN. The intern will complete assigned nursing orders as directed by a preceptor, including assisting patients with daily living activities and taking vital signs. They will observe and document patient status and responses, reporting findings to the preceptor or other appropriate staff. The intern will also assist the preceptor with care plan development by reporting test results and patient observations. Additional tasks may include environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High school diploma/GED required.
Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer.
Must be enrolled in RN Program

Responsibilities

Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs.
