About The Position

This Nursing Intern position is located at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL, within the Float Staffing department. The role is PRN with a Night Shift schedule. The intern will complete assigned nursing orders under the direction of a preceptor, assist patients with daily living activities, and take vital signs. They will also observe and document patient status and responses, reporting findings to the preceptor or other staff. The intern will assist the preceptor in developing care plans by reporting test results and patient observations. Additional duties may include environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High school diploma/GED required.
Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs.
