About The Position

MedVet is seeking a collaborative and driven Nursing & ICU Veterinary Technician Assistant to support its clinical team. The Nursing department provides ongoing supervision to ensure patients’ treatment plans are carried out. This role is suited to someone who can recognize patient distress and respond appropriately, assist with patient recovery, and support client follow-up and education.

The proposed overnight schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The hiring range is $15.00–$19.00 per hour, based on experience. Prior veterinary experience is required.

• Prior veterinary experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette.
• Ability to multitask, self-motivation, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work successfully both as a team member and autonomously.
• Sense of urgency and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective patient restraint skills.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinary technicians in ensuring patients receive quality care.
• Help ensure patient documentation is accurate and complete.
• Assist with oversight and care of stable patients.
• Assist veterinary technicians with patient restraint.
• Restock supplies for clinical teams.
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage departmental laundry needs.
