About The Position

MedVet is seeking a collaborative, driven Nursing & ICU Veterinary Technician Assistant to support patient care in its Nursing department. The department provides constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are carried out. The role involves helping veterinary technicians deliver quality care, monitoring stable patients, supporting recovery, and assisting with client follow-up and education. The proposed schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The hiring range is $15.00–$19.00 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette.
Ability to multitask, self-motivate, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Ability to work successfully as a team member and autonomously.
A sense of urgency and critical-thinking skills.
Effective patient restraint skills.
Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Prior veterinary experience required.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinary technicians in ensuring patients receive quality care.
Help ensure patient documentation is accurate and complete.
Assist with oversight and care of stable patients.
Assist veterinary technicians with patient restraint.
Restock supplies for clinical teams.
Maintain clean treatment areas and manage departmental laundry needs.
