About The Position

The program is seeking a qualified professional with expertise in medical surgical nursing. Additional experience in pediatric nursing preferred. Please note that this position is in the full-time faculty bargaining unit, which is represented by the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), Maryland.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland
• Master's degree in Nursing
• Strong foundation in nursing theory and clinical practice
• Current bedside nursing experience
• Experience in classroom and/or clinical nursing education

Nice To Haves

• Additional experience in pediatric nursing
• Master's degree in Nursing Education
• Post-Master's Certificate in Nursing Education

Responsibilities

• Classroom (online and face-to-face) and clinical teaching
• Engaging in department and college wide service activities
• Academic advising
• Responsibility for nursing concepts related to specialty areas and will be assigned according to area of professional expertise
• Direct supervision of students in a variety of settings
