About The Position

The Nursing Faculty member serves as Clinical Lead Faculty for the Marian University Accelerated BSN Program at an extended campus. The role’s primary responsibility is implementing academic programs in laboratory and simulation settings. Nursing instructors teach in clinical or lab courses and contribute to the missions of teaching, research, and service. The role reports to the Director, Nursing Services. The position is based at the Purdue Road site in Indianapolis and follows standard business hours, Monday through Friday. It includes eligibility for benefits.

Requirements

Master’s degree in nursing.
Unencumbered Indiana RN license.
Evidence of three years of successful professional nursing practice.
Ability to develop, support, and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, students, and adjunct clinical faculty.
Confidence using audiovisual equipment, learning management platforms, and student database systems.
Ability to provide a supportive learning environment for students.

Nice To Haves

Professional nursing practice experience in OB, ED, or ICU is preferred.
Two years of teaching experience is preferred.
Experience working in a simulation environment with high- and low-fidelity mannequins is a plus.

Responsibilities

Facilitate effective student learning in clinical and lab settings and through the online learning environment.
Guide students in clinical and lab settings on professionalism, practice, and research.
Collaborate with the healthcare partner and its staff, and support clinical adjunct faculty when needed.
Maintain current knowledge of the extended campus nursing curriculum, policies, and requirements.
Maintain clinical competence and knowledge in the instructor’s area of expertise.
Teach nursing knowledge.
