About The Position

The Nursing Director provides leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), who is responsible for nursing and other designated patient care functions and services throughout the hospital organization. The role assists with assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice across multiple units. It carries 24/7 responsibility for the Director’s assigned areas and supports the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and effective resource management related to patient care.

Requirements

• Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence or practice.
• Bachelor of Science in nursing.
• Two years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager, full-time charge nurse, or in a related position.
• Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by law, regulation in the state of practice, or policy.
• AHA BLS certification.

• Master of Science in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice across multiple units.
