The Nursing Clinical Coordinator reports to the Associate Dean of Nursing and will oversee all aspects of student clinical placements, the acquisition of new/suitable sites, assurance of appropriate clinical orientation of faculty, provide student clinical (minimum of one clinical course per semester), provides nursing skills lab instruction, supports student success, and ensures compliance with accreditation and clinical requirements. This requires constant communication with the clinical sites, the Associate Dean of Nursing, and the faculty. The Nursing Clinical Coordinator will have the opportunity to enhance the quality of the nursing program and promote evidence-based practices within a high-performing student-centered learning environment. One method is to provide strategies and academic reinforcement to students throughout their academic program as well as support sessions. The Nursing Clinical Coordinator will provide instruction, tutoring, remediation, and evaluation in clinical learning concepts, including Skills Lab (and Simulations as appropriate).
