About The Position

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical and SSM Health, is hiring a PRN Nursing Assistant in Richmond Heights, Missouri. The schedule is PRN day or night shifts from 6:45 to 7:15, with a minimum of four shifts per six-week period. Compensation is $20.50 per PRN hour, with a $2 night-shift differential and a $1 weekend differential. The Nursing Assistant supports patients with vital-sign and demographic data collection, personal care, meals and hydration, mobility and positioning, call-light response, and transportation to treatment areas. Post-offer employment testing (POETs) is part of onboarding and must be completed before the employee's first day of work.

Requirements

Certified BLS, or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.
Complete post-offer employment testing before the first day of work.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Hospital experience.
Nursing assistant certification; may be required depending on state requirements.

Responsibilities

Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake, including supplements.
Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients' physical well-being.
Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
