About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent care to patients during vulnerable and difficult moments. The position is located in St. Charles, Missouri, and is PRN with day or night hours from 7 to 7. Compensation is $22 per PRN rate, with a $1.50 night-shift differential and a $0.75 weekend differential. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of 3 or more years.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Certification as a nursing assistant.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant work.
Active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients into and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
