About The Position

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture between Select Medical and SSM Health, is seeking a PRN Nursing Assistant for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri. The hospital provides care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The schedule is PRN day or night 12-hour shifts from 6:45 to 7:15, with a minimum of four shifts in a six-week period. Compensation is $20.50 per PRN hour, plus a $2 night-shift differential and a $1 weekend differential. The role supports patients with vital-sign collection, personal and daily care, meals and nutrition documentation, safe positioning and mobility, call-light responses, and transportation to treatment areas. Requirements

Certified BLS, or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Hospital experience.
Certification as a nursing assistant; may be required based on state requirements.

Responsibilities

Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake, including supplements.
Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
