About The Position

The Nursing Assistant works on the 3 North Tower Medical Surgical unit in a full-time 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. role. Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant performs designated tasks to provide age-appropriate patient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential preferred.
• Six months of experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patients’ reported height and weight on admission.
• Turn and position patients every two hours as indicated, using proper body mechanics.
• Assist and promote activity, ambulation, getting up in a chair, and other activities as ordered.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, including showering, bathing, shaving, shampooing, perianal care, catheter care, and oral care.
• Take and accurately record vital signs within established time frames.
• Perform hourly rounds consistently to ensure patient safety and promote customer satisfaction.
