About The Position
The Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to a patient population under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The position is with CPMC-California Pacific Medical Center Davies. Employees may handle hazardous or potentially hazardous drugs during patient care and other work activities, following applicable NIOSH and USP 800 guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Hospital Assistant training or equivalent training as a nursing student.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Communication, organization, and relationship skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care hospital, or experience as a nursing student.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer hazardous or potentially hazardous drugs as applicable, in accordance with NIOSH and USP 800 guidelines.
