Nursing Assistant Part Time Days
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The position is 24 hours weekly, working days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is benefit eligible. Under general supervision and according to established procedures, the Nursing Assistant functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of a nurse, providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient-care unit maintenance tasks. The PCU is a 32-bed intermediate-level-of-care unit between inpatient and critical care units. The unit specializes in cardiovascular care and also treats patients with a variety of diagnoses, including CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, and sepsis. The Nursing Assistant works as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting care for a high-acuity patient population.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required, or CNA is preferred but not required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience.
- CNA qualification.
