About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Memphis is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants provide compassionate patient care and support patients during recovery. This is a full-time night position in Memphis, Tennessee, located inside Methodist University, with a schedule of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Compensation is $17.50 to $21.33 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Nursing assistant certification.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant work or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
