About The Position

CoxHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is hiring a Nursing Assistant for its 63-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Ozark, Missouri. The hospital serves patients in Southwest Missouri and provides care for people facing brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. This role supports the hospital, which is described as brand-new and open now.

The position is per diem/PRN on the night shift and pays $19.00 per hour. A $1,750 sign-on bonus is offered. The hospital provides an extensive orientation program and notes that demonstrated skills and dedication may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem employees may qualify for 401(k) benefits after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year, and are offered an employee assistance program.

Requirements

• Certified BLS, or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment, is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Nursing assistant certification preferred; it may be required depending on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves, and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including treatment centers.
