Nursing Assistant Troy Infusion Center PRN
About The Position
The Nursing Assistant provides patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role includes safely transporting patients by wheelchair or stretcher, dispatching services, and documenting services provided. The Nursing Assistant may serve as an observer for patients assessed as requiring constant observation, either in person or through remote video monitoring, to maximize patient safety. The position also performs receptionist and clerical duties to support the efficient functioning of the nursing unit and documents care in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience.
- Current CNA certification.
