About The Position

The Nurse Assistant assists nursing staff by performing selected nursing procedures and routine duties in patient care. All functions must be within the scope of the training and instruction received and are performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The position is part-time and scheduled for one day a week on the night shift.

Requirements

• BLS certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic physical care.
• Assists patients with meeting nutritional needs.
• Assists patients with activity as designated.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients according to policy and procedure.
• Performs and documents appropriate procedures according to hospital policy and procedure.
• Participates in unit responsibilities.
• May perform other major or minor duties not listed; specific functions may change from time to time.
