About The Position
This position is for current Tri-County Technical College (TCTC) students enrolled in the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program. The AnMed Nurse Scholars Program allows students to work as a nursing assistant at AnMed and provides advanced funding for tuition costs. Nursing assistants provide quality patient care under the supervision and direction of licensed nursing professionals. They provide direct or indirect nursing care to pediatric through geriatric patients in an acute care hospital setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Be enrolled in and have clinical entry in Tri-County Technical College’s 24-month nursing program (ADN).
- Sign the “Education Advance and Employment Retention Agreement.”
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Achieve a grade of “C” or above in each general studies course.
- Achieve a grade of “B” or above in nursing courses.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care under the supervision and direction of licensed nursing professionals.
- Provide direct or indirect nursing care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations in an acute care hospital setting.
