Nursing Assistant - ICU
About The Position
Providence is hiring a Nursing Assistant for the Medsurg ICU Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a full-time, 0.9 FTE position working 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. A $2,500 hiring bonus is available to eligible external hires who meet the qualifications and payment conditions. Qualified applicants will receive additional screening questions through the HireVue system. Under direct supervision, the Nursing Assistant is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse. The role helps maintain a safe, secure, hazard-free, and clean environment for patients, families, and providers, and completes duties delegated for the shift. It also requires clear communication about patient needs through the RN and charge nurse, supporting patient-focused care. Requirements
- Complete a medical terminology course, or pass the hospital medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
- Obtain National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Six months of healthcare experience.
