About The Position
As a Nursing Assistant at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center (CHMC), you will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports patient well-being and unit efficiency while helping ensure patients receive high-quality care. CHMC is part of Henry Ford Health and is located in Rochester, Michigan. The schedule is part-time, daytime, 24 hours, with every third weekend. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current AHA BLS certification, or obtain certification within the first week of hire through HEART CODE.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic patient care, including taking vital signs, hygiene, feeding, and post-mortem care.
- Administer basic treatments, including intake and output measurement, specimen collection, and glucose monitoring.
- Respond to call lights, pass water and linens, and perform non-clinical duties that support unit operations.
- Transport patients and deliver specimens, pharmacy orders, and blood products as needed.
- Follow safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality protocols.
