About The Position

At Encompass Health, the Nursing Assistant provides compassionate, personalized care to patients and assists registered nurses as patients work toward rehabilitation goals. The role includes helping with treatments and daily personal activities, preparing and transporting patients, and communicating patient concerns to nurses. Nursing Assistants build relationships with patients and their families, support recovery, and celebrate patient milestones. The position offers access to technology and collaboration with a supportive team.

Requirements

• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with patients and treatments as needed.
• Help patients with daily personal activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Prepare and transport patients.
• Communicate patient concerns to nurses.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families and understand their needs to facilitate recovery.
• Celebrate patients' victories and milestones.
