About The Position

Regency Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. The Nursing Assistant provides compassionate patient care and supports patients throughout their recovery. The position is based in Oregon, Ohio, and requires the ability to pick up shifts at the Sylvania and Oregon locations as needed. The schedule is full-time day shift, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Compensation is $18.05–$22 per hour, based on years of experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of at least 3 years.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
• Nursing assistant certification.
• Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant work.
• Active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers as necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Clean instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
