CV Recovery Nursing Assistant, Full-Time
About The Position
Saint Luke’s East in Lee's Summit is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join its cardiovascular recovery team. The role is suitable for experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), nursing assistants, patient care technicians, and people interested in becoming nursing assistants. Candidates who are not certified or lack applicable experience will receive six weeks of full-time on-the-job training. Nursing Assistants help improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience, providing individualized care in a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
- Applicable experience: less than one year.
- Basic Life Support RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement).
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Team-oriented approach, eagerness to expand skills, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
- Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks.
- Assist with activities of daily living and care, including bathing, hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
- Anticipate patients’ family needs proactively.
- Individualize and modify care according to patients’ needs.
- Collaborate with other health care team members to enhance patient care.
