About The Position

The Manager Nursing - Recovery role at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California, provides an optimal practice environment that ensures quality patient care. The manager plans, directs, and oversees nursing care for perioperative patients in pre-admission screening, preoperative, and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) areas. The position is accountable for the 24-hour operation of these units, including leadership, budget preparation and fiscal management, staffing, planning, employee relations, patient satisfaction, specialty practice guidelines, organizing, and controlling. The manager models proactive, collaborative relationships across hospital functions and supports an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. The role develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patients’ nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• National specialty certification within one year of hire.
• Five years of recent experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Computer experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Supervisory experience.
