About The Position

The Nursing Assistant provides services to assigned residents in accordance with their care plans and facility policies and procedures, under the direction of supervisors. The role includes providing compassionate routine daily nursing care, assisting residents with personal care and meals, and attending scheduled training and educational classes to obtain Nursing Assistant certification. The shift is 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• Must have at least a 10th-grade education; a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication competencies.
• Background and experience in shared decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide assigned residents with compassionate routine daily nursing care and service.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes to obtain certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Assist residents with daily dental, mouth, bath, and other care functions as necessary.
• Prepare residents for meals and serve food.
• Record residents’ food and fluid intake.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
