About The Position

Provides compassionate, high-quality personal care and prescribed medical treatments to patients at Riverwood Health Care Center, within the scope of practice for a nursing assistant. Performs duties under the supervision and delegation of a registered nurse and follows established care plans and facility protocols. The position works nights from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. and includes every third weekend. The schedule is 0.9 FTE, or 72 hours per pay period.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) registration is highly preferred, but not required for candidates who have completed high school or obtained a GED.
• Candidates currently enrolled in high school must have active CNA registration or obtain CNA certification within six months of hire.
• Current Nursing Assistant (NA) registration with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing is highly preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain it during orientation.
• BLS certification may be required upon hire depending on departmental needs.

Nice To Haves

• Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) registration.
• Current Nursing Assistant (NA) registration with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
