About The Position
The Nursing Assistant assists with or provides for patients’ activities of daily living, including hygiene, meals, and feeding patients with special needs. The role helps maintain a safe, neat patient environment and supports patient assessment by gathering data, collecting specimens, and obtaining and recording vital signs. The Nursing Assistant responds to patient call lights and performs other duties as assigned. The position is PRN on the graveyard shift in Sweetwater, Texas.
Requirements
- Must complete 24 hours of required education by the Board of CNA Certification.
- Must maintain current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Certification from a Nurse Aide Course or previous experience approved by the nursing director preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform activities contributing to patients’ hygiene needs.
- Serve meals and assist in feeding patients with special needs.
- Maintain a safe and neat patient environment, including making beds.
- Assist in gathering data related to patient assessment.
- Collect specimens.
- Obtain and record vital signs.
- Respond to patient call lights.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
