About The Position

The Nursing Assistant assists the care team in providing age-specific, supportive, compassionate care and helping ensure a safe environment for customers and families. The role receives direction and works with the care team to meet defined customer, shift, department, and organizational goals. Communicating with the health care team about progress, concerns, questions, and problems is an essential part of the role. Duties may vary based on assigned customer care unit, including unit-specific clinical skills described in unit-based skill lists and Policy/Procedure # NA0002 - Customer Assignment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Oral and written English proficiency sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Basic computer operation skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer; online BLS certifications are not accepted.
• Successful completion of a State of Minnesota-administered nursing assistant certification exam, or completion of one semester of clinical rotation within an accredited nursing program.
