About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, personalized care to patients during their rehabilitation journey and to assist registered nurses. The role involves supporting patients with treatments and everyday personal activities, helping them progress toward their rehabilitation goals, and communicating their concerns to nurses. Nursing Assistants build relationships with patients and families, understand individual needs, and recognize patient milestones.

Requirements

• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with patients and treatments as needed.
• Help patients with daily personal activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Prepare and transport patients.
• Communicate patient concerns to nurses.
• Build relationships with patients and their families and understand their individual needs to facilitate recovery.
• Celebrate patients’ victories and milestones.
