Nursing Assistant PCU Part Time Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nursing Assistant for their Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a part-time position requiring 12 hours of work weekly, with night shifts from 7pm to 7am. The PCU is a 32-bed intermediate care unit that bridges the gap between inpatient units and critical care. While specializing in cardiovascular care, the unit manages a variety of diagnoses including CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, and sepsis. Nurses on this unit work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-acuity care, offering opportunities to develop assessment skills and manage specialized procedures and drips. This role is benefit-eligible.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse.
- Provides delegated aspects of patient care.
- Performs routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.
