About The Position

The Nursing Assistant provides basic patient care using intellectual, interpersonal, and technical skills. Under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or RN, the role assists with routine direct bedside care for patients of various ages, as defined by the department’s scope of service. Duties include personal hygiene, data collection and observation, vital signs, intake and output (I&O), equipment use, activities of daily living (ADLs), medical-record documentation, answering call lights, and recognizing and responding to emergency situations.

The position is at St. Joseph Hospital Eureka in Eureka, California, and is full-time, working 12-hour night shifts. Providence describes its culture as patient-focused, whole-person care built on understanding, commitment, and mutual respect.

Requirements

• Obtain National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
