About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretary for their Intensive Care Unit. This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week on the day shift (7 am - 7 pm). The role involves functioning as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse, providing delegated aspects of patient care and performing routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU that cares for critically ill patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, shock states, and respiratory failure.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience required.
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
Responsibilities
- Functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse.
- Provides delegated aspects of patient care.
- Performs routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.
